Since graduating in 2014 with a 1st Class Honours degree in Sport Rehabilitation and also Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Accreditation, I’ve immersed myself in all sorts of environments, from elite sport, occupational health, and the private clinical sector.
A highlight of mine is working with GB Taekwondo at the English Institute of Sport, and then travelling with the youth development squad to a World Championships in Azerbaijan, and also two European Championships in Austria and Spain.
My work within the clinic and UTS gym aims to get the patient from couch to pitch (whatever that may mean to you!). I use manual therapy and specific corrective exercise to help the individual get back to whatever walk of life they so wish to chose, whether its walking, running, going to the gym, or taking part in extreme sport!
Like most of my clients, I understand what sport means to you, as I regularly compete in Brazilian Jujitsu, so I know how important it is to keep active, even when an injury occurs. We’ll work together and take an holistic approach when managing work loads, understanding the cause and using the injury as an opportunity to improve weaknesses of the body.
