Physiotherapy Treatments

Having attended over 50 postgraduate courses, run by Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, and Soft tissue therapists, we believe you should not pigeon hole yourself to one method of treatment.

If you watch sports or enjoyed any of the London 2012 Olympics, you will most likely have seen kinesiology taping or “Kinesiotape”.   My personal favorite was the diving where it seemed like every diver had the essential parallel strips down either side of the spine.  Proof if it were ever needed that athletes suffer from low back problems just like the rest of the population!

Running Mechanics

This describes where the runner spends most of the time. Front end as suggested is with the legs in front of the body and rear, behind the body. A number of runners believe that to enhance performance they need to push the foot behind them. This is only true for sprinting activities, where you are trying to generate as much force as possible with each step.

We are staying open

Further to Boris Johnsons’ announcement of January 4th 2021, we will continue to provide clinical services throughout the January 2021 National Lockdown.  As you will know if you have had treatment since June 2020, we have consistently adhered to extremely stringent protocols throughout the Covid-19 situation.  This has kept you our patients, our staff and our community as safe as possible throughout this time and means we are still safe to practice going forwards.

As per our ongoing Risk Assessment protocol, if you fall within the Clinically Vulnerable category, you will be individually assessed for face-to-face treatment by your practitioner.  We cannot provide face-to-face appointments for anyone in the Extremely Clinically Vulnerable category without a letter from your primary care provider or your specialist consultant.

We will continue to undertake all recommendations from our governing bodies and associations and implement their advice to keep us all protected and safe going forwards in 2021.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the clinic.
Many thanks Donna & Leigh (Clinical Lead Practitioners)
